I said I would speak to my brilliant auto electrician and he remembered the following in order of priority .
1) The wiring to the headlights was terrible and failed frequently.
2) The earth's around the engine bay were another source of much trouble.
3) The copper was of poor quality which did not bend easily, plus attaching to poor steel created some of these issues.
4) The dash material broke up on some of them and caused problems to the wiring in the dash.
5) The racing ones he just used to rewire! Which I did not know about so a good topic for over a cuppa tea next time I am near his house.
Fulvia's were better electrically and good luck were his final words.
