Auto electrical Part numbers

Post by vecchioalfa »

Ok chaps to help a few other members out here is a list of the part numbers taken from an old Intermotor book, all the part numbers are therefore intermotor ones:

ALFASUD & Ti & SPRINT - BOSCH DISTRIBUTOR - 1972-1974 - CAP = 44190 / ROTOR ARM = 47010s / POINTS - 22700 / CONDENSOR 35010
ALFASUD & Ti & SPRINT - BOSCH DISTRIBUTOR - 1974-1981 - CAP = 44190 / ROTOR ARM = 48890s / POINTS - 22700 / CONDENSOR 35010
ALFASUD & Ti & SPRINT - ELECTRONIC IGNITION - BOSCH DISTRIBUTOR - 1981-1984 - CAP = 44190 / ROTOR ARM = 48880s

ALFASUD & Ti & SPRINT - DUCELLIER DISTRIBUTOR - 1972-1976 - CAP = 44280 / ROTOR ARM = 47300 / POINTS - 22910 / CONDENSOR 33670
ALFASUD & Ti & SPRINT - DUCELLIER DISTRIBUTOR - 1976-1971 - CAP = 44280 / ROTOR ARM = 47300 / POINTS - 22910 / CONDENSOR 33440

ALFASUD & Ti & SPRINT - MAGNETI MARELLI DISTRIBUTOR - 1980-1982 - CAP = 46460 / ROTOR ARM = 47960s / POINTS - 23600 / CONDENSOR 33820
ALFASUD & Ti & SPRINT - ELECTRONIC IGNITION - MAGNETI MARELLI DISTRIBUTOR - 1980-1982 - POWER UNIT = 15210 / CAP = 46440 / ROTOR ARM = 47950s

ALFA 33 - 8v's - ELECTRONIC IGNITION - BOSCH DISTRIBUTOR - 1983 - 1989 - CAP = 44190 / ROTOR ARM = 48780s or 48880s
ALFA 33 - 8v's - ELECTRONIC IGNITION - BOSCH DISTRIBUTOR - 1990 - 1994 - CAP = 44190 / ROTOR ARM = 48920s
ALFA 33 - 16v's - ELECTRONIC IGNITION - BOSCH DISTRIBUTOR - 1990 - 1994 - CAP = 44190 / ROTOR ARM = 48780s or 48880s
ALFA 33 - ELECTRONIC IGNITION - DUCELLIER DISTRIBUTOR - 1983 - 1989 - CAP = 46050 / ROTOR ARM = 48371s
ALFA 33 - ELECTRONIC IGNITION - MAGNETI MARELLI DISTRIBUTOR - 1983 - 1989 - CAP = 46440 / ROTOR ARM = 47950s

The 's' at the end of the rotor arm part numbers means suppressed (no noise on your radio :) )
Older intermotor part numbers are the same but missing the last 0 digit so a 44190 cap if older could be numbered 4419 but would be exactly the same
The tallest caps are Magneti Marelli screw on caps - 46440 & 46460
A medium height cap is Bosch clip on 44190
The shallowest caps are Ducellier clip on 46050 & 44280
Who knows which distributor is best for performance or reliability..... some rotor arms have built in rev limiters, some not
Hopefully this will be of use to some of you......

Nice one. All I need now is a cross-reference list. Not asking for much. :)

Cross Reference i hear you say?

well thanks to another excellent trade source from Vecchio, i've copied this across from that initial post.

http://www.repxpert.com/lukas/content?id=200

user name = trade
password = trade
(all lower case)

Then click on the blue link (bottom l/h side) - marked as 'REPXPERT POWERED BY TECDOC'
Then at the bottom of the next page click on 'OPEN REPEXPERT CATALOGUE'
Then use the orange banding at the top - 'Search via' - Vehicles or engines or article direct search etc.
If you use 'article direct search' just enter a part number and it will throw up all items using that part number, click on them to see all vehicles it fits etc.
Although this is of no use all to some people it will be very useful to some others so I thought I would post it up

Just tried it out and it only lists one alternative for the rev-limiter rotor arm a Beru EVLO 78. I hoped there would be more choice than that - unless I've mucked it up.

No worries, I will look into doing a cross reference in the next few days, a lot of the stuff for these cars as we know is non current but I have books going back to the 1950's so a cross ref. list will be no problem for us and maybe a few photos from the books etc.
