Fuel line diameter
Fuel line diameter
Quick question folks. Amassing parts again for the eventual rebuilt of the Sprint, and seems sensible to replace the fuel lines. The crusty items that came off the car were 6 and 8mm which seems odd. Obviously one is a feed the other a return, but presumably both should be the same. Can anybody confirm

Re: Fuel line diameter
Hi Steven. How are you doing?
I'm not sure what size mine were underneath but I do remember the return pipe being smaller than the supply.
Hope this helps.

Yeah Agee , I think it's to do with keeping pressure up in the fuel system

Re: Fuel line diameter
yes, 8mm supply and 6mm return
helps to keep pressure/volume in the system i presume, as has been said

Also the engine will be using some of the petrol from the supply side so less will be going back to the tank.StescoG66 wrote:Thanks for that folks. Just thought it a bit strange but there is logic I suppose...........
