My 1500 twin carb has 36 webers suffix 44a and 45a.
I have replaced one of them with a spare which is suffix 52 or 53. I made sure they have the same jets.
Does the suffix difference cause any problem?
Any ideas welcomed.
Regards, Chris.

Re: Carburettors
Hi Chris, I have had a look at Technical Service Data book that I have and I have included an image of the relevant page.
If you take a look at the carb data it shows the different jetting between the two. I would think that if you are running a 105bhp engine then you should jet it as per the 36IDF52/53 and if not, then jet it as per 36IDF44/45.
I can only assume it is the jets that are different but not 100% sure, hopefully someone else will be able to clarify.
