new member with alfasud sprint

Post by vtecmike »

Hi everybody

Im Mike, live out in France

Im new to this forum , decided to join as ive just bought a alfasud sprint, chrome bumpers to restore, rusty ofcourse! ive managed not to buy one for years since i sold my last one but couldnt turn it down as it was up the road and the seller threw a bottle of cognac in with the sale!
I havent picked it up yet though so dont know the full work needed yet!
Turn of fate , i started looking for parts and i came across an accident trofeo sprint with 40000kms on the clock, so should be off to pick that up wednesday for parts as its completely rust free, so i will have some spares for others too as i only want bodywork from it.
I will get some photos up when i work out how!

Thanks

This is going to be the spares car , tyre blew out at 50mph into a ditch , if anyone needs any parts from it ,they will be available as i dont need much as mine is an older chrome bumper model, but i havent got photos of that one yet!

how much do you need to take of it mike?
being a trofeo it's worth saving as it is...

That Trofeo looks very fixable to me, it would be a shame to break it.

I wanted to cut out round the windscreen , rear wing , a front wing + a door but it depends , how much is it worth as it stands complete? not much i would imagine!

Welcome to the forum, the advice and support here is superb. I've got some spares for your car should you struggle to find them elsewhere. Good luck with the restoration!
