That was far too easy then Keith,

Gilbern Invader MK3, a car that for some strange reason, and despite its ford components, i really quite like!

my thoughts exactly!

Good looking car, and nicely trimmed too, but imagine how much better it would be with rusty 75 to donate a 3.0 V6 and transaxle!

Hmmmm, yummy!

Funnily enough, i think you'll find when Kev comes along, it was discussed a couple of years ago i think on another forum.

I'm sure it rings a bell that one, but i probably didn't pay much attention to it being on that other site! lol!

very tidy moggy isn't it, not my cup of tea but very very tidy nonetheless, and at least it will have some guts for once! :D

yes, saw it at the classic car show at the NEC a few years back.
from what i remember it had quite a hot 1.5 engine in, which i guess would liven the car up a bit!
apparently the minor was always designed to have a flat 4 motor but BL (or whoever they were back then..) couldn't stump up the cash to develop one

is quite a tidy install from what i recall
Giulietta JTD 170
Lancia Delta integrale
Lancia Flavia coupe 1.8 1963
Lancia Dedra turbo
Maserati 3200GT

I'm bad with people things
But I should have tried more

Easy - prototype Mustang. Mid-mounted V4 and transaxle out of a German Ford Taunus, if I recall correctly.

I prefer it to the 3-box saloon that went into series production (although I do like the Mach1...)

Well done !! that didn't take long.
It was actually named a Brigand , but bodily it was a 603 tweaked to bring it up to the '80's with "modern" bumpers and lights.

It is a concept vehicle by a designer, Maxime-de-Keiser.
Looks like more than 8 cylinders as well. I will try and find out more.

Looks like a real life Hot Wheels car! Or the front end of a Handley Page Victor on wheels, saw a new BMW in town today, don't know (or care!) what it was but it did look like a toy with blue accents everywhere, it was really turning heads!
My 8 year old thought it was cool, but his favourite car is the Focus ST.... must get round to that paternity test!

That is very cool, but it is a rendering - however, for that authentic jet-plane-on-wheels vibe there is always the GM Firebird 1 from the 1950s, and the overall look is very similar to the salt flat racers built out of discarded teardrop fuel tanks used by long distance escort fighters like the P51.

There was a mid-engined torpedo-shaped prototype from the 1950s which followed this concept very closely, F1-style suspension and a very reclined driver, had a bit more glazing though, looked like the nose of a sport glider. I wish I could remember what it was called...
