Hi Pat, this is my Sud which I've decided to sell as I've other projects on the go. I've spent a lot of time and money on her but she's an absolute gem..

That sud looks great, Have you had much response? I may have to sell mine soon and I will price it accordingly, but my worry is there are not enough buyers out there with the balls to own or appreciate the model.

I know what you mean, there's a whole generation out there who just don't know what a Sud is or the difference between a Ti and Sprint. That said, I've had a healthy response which makes me think it's priced about right. As Shrew pointed out in other threads, we should value our cars highly, after all they're not made any more and the numbers are ever decreasing.

When I owned my Sud in 90 all my mates had xr2's, xr3i's or escort mk1's/mk2's.
I've been looking for a Sud for a long time but want a cheap one and have now got 3. Just need to rebuild one and have so fun with

Ah yes, she's been sold to a chap from Epsom who travelled up on a train and then drove 5hrs back home...I got a text saying 'I love it!' although he did say that the oil light wouldn't go out. Never experienced that problem myself but guess it's the oil pressure sensor playing up.

Anyway, time to consider my next project!

It did, yes. Had loads of enquiries and still got new ones coming through as I haven't pulled the ad yet.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but just to confirm I now own the Black Alfasud Ti LHK842Y featured in this and previous threads. I bought it off the chap in Epsom mentioned above. He unfortunately kept it outdoors for 3 years so it's needing a bit of cosmetic work but engine is sound and running well. I've changed out the Rad, flushed the cooling system, changed oil and given the carbs a good clean so far. Engine bay has also been given a good detailing. Next job will be to tackle any emerging rust issues, change the Shocks, springs and bushes which are all a bit tired and also the front and mid section exhaust. Thats all I have identified so far. Aim is to keep it as original as possible. It's stored in a nice dry garage next to a 2003 GTV V6 3.2 so in good company.

Do you have the shocks already?
I've had a look on the internet and they're not cheap!

Rear shocks don't seem to be a problem. Fronts are almost impossible to track down, compounded by the fact there are several variants with different fitments. I'm trying to put a deal together at the moment, but as you say it's not going to be cheap!

Great that you have kept the car in touch with the forum.
Good luck with the re-furb.
Some shocks are listed on this thread.

You may know this already, the car was Colin Metcalfes for quite a number of years, and before that a chap called Phil Gotts.
Cheers, John.

Thanks John. Yes, I've read a few old posts on this forum which tracked the cars history and previous owners which has been quite interesting.

Any links for rears please?

These are for my particular model year but any search brings up several options.
