How much are 155's worth ??

As Shrew knows, I've been looking for a 155 to take me into next year as the sud is so far behind it'll be pointless taxing and insuring
Problem is the first one I found was a 2.0 16V for £1500 - but the owner bailed out after me sending a deposit and buying a one way train ticket

The next one I've found is a 3.0 V6 taxed and tested for £3000

And another 3.0 V6 no mot or tax but with leather for £2500

Exactly what price should I be paying for one - I thought £1500 - £2000 would be plenty but there isn't many about !!

Can you let me know soon as both owners are getting back to me soon

the 3.0 V6 will be a transplant engine then H yes?

the 155 only came with the 2.5 12 valve as stock option for V6 version , so any 24v motor, or 3.0 motor will have come from something else, or has been reworked, so theres a bit more think about in how well it has been done, and that makes it a lot harder to price.


not that it helps too much, but my own 2.5 V6 Sport Widebody, sold for £1750 a few years ago.

It was a very good car, very tidy inside and out, good history, and went to another 155 and alfa fan.

Oddly though the other member of 155.org were trying to convince me i should accept half that amount!

Yer I know, one minute they say that if "that bloke " had actually sold the ********* car to me, they would all be happy cus the rest of their cars would be going up in price


THEN one of them Pm's me to say he's got a 3.0 V6 for £3000 and won't give me a list of whats been done "unless I'm not wasting his time" and not a "tyre kicker*
I told him "chicken and egg" I aint interested unless he has done MAJOR work - he hasn't replied

The way its going the sud will be ready before i even find one

Hi I mite have 2 155's up for sale soon a 93 LHD 2.5td black skinny just needs uk registering and some bits done on it or a 95 blue widey which is going to have a coupe 16vt fitted in it, lowered single wiper,dtm headlight lights and a silverstone style spoiler

Hi Chris, if the wide body is that lovely light metallic blue that would be the favourite - problem is that I was looking for one to drive this year and into May next year as it would have to go to make way for the sud, so unless she'll be finished by the end of the month I won't have much "fun" in it.

I could make it a 2.0 twin spark or 16vt. The 155 is a nordic blue so is the light blue with sportpack interior, omp 6 line brake hoses, 19mm coupe rear arb, if it stays as as a 2.0 twin spark it'll have konis on it and if it goes to a 16vt it'll have a kyb shocks.

I've tried to pm but can't. The 155 is my girlfriends which has been a 155 selespeed for about 3 years about needs a new selespeed box and engine so was thinking about putting it back to std or 16vt

It has some dents etc and marks on the o/f/r door.................wheels need a good clean but had to go to Bristol to fix my mates alfa 166 today as he needs it 2mor for work.

Given it a quick look over today I'll need to do new rear wheel bearing, 1 bit of welding, headlight inserts, pair of petrol tank straps, 2 tyres and engine swop has had new belt kits fitted to it

As I said to you, I wanted a car to take to some meets this year and as your really busy I didn't want to take the chance of the 155 running over your estimate.
