Vacuum Advance Hose

Post by Sprint88qv »

Evening,

Anyone know if this small cylinder located within the vacuum advance hose (between carb and Bosch dizzy) has to be a certain way around? One end of it is slightly domed and one end is kind of kamm-tailed. I think it is something that smooths out the vacuum pulses to the dizzy.

Or does it not matter which way around it is

…. I wish I’d taken note before I took it off….
Cheers,.

Clean it up.
There is an arrow.
Pointing towards the carb.
Advances the timing

Cheers Dave. Alas I couldn’t find an arrow after cleaning it up, so will try it both ways around and pick the best performer.
