Some of you may remember the purpose made trolley for rolling our boxer engines around in safety and comfort, and this is along similar lines, but a deluxe build!
I treated myself to new inverter sets of both Mig and Tig machines earlier this year, and being much lighter than transformer plant, they don't come with their own wheels or cart, so i set about building something i could possibly transport and store both machines on at once, as dual machine carts seem to be none existent to buy, and i thought it would be the ideal project to familiarise myself with the new machines.
Now i said this was the deluxe build, and that's mainly because it is a hybrid of the Waitrose, "Shopping for One" and the Sainsbury's "Closet Alcoholic" trollies, both made by the Bentley of the trolley world, Wanzil. Oh and there are a few bars made up from my kids old trampoline safety support net frame, but i have removed most of the gardens sharp objects and impalement's from around it, so should be ok, Safety First eh!
A bit of chequer plate, some kitchen cupboard handles, some jack chain, and we're ready to build.
I bet you're thinking what on earth is this gonna be like? Well, it turned out really well actually, and thanks to the underlying Wanzil chassis and ride quality, she glides around all surfaces effortlessly in all directions, and manouvres around the subject car pr project with consummate ease!
A trip to my local powder coat supplier and i chose a ultra hard hammer finish blue, just like a granite version of the traditional hammerite tool box blue for the main frame, my trusty graphite grey for the shelves, plus a few accenting colours to bling it up, and Voila!
As you can see, i moved and resized the basket for a tool tray, reworked and replaced the booze tray for use as a triple gas cylinder rack, and it houses my machines perfectly
I think everyone should have one,
Ooh, and the inverter machines work well too, lovely!
