Hillman Imp National..

As above, went along to the Imp national weekend (well, 4 days really, they start it on Thursday!) today as we wanted to gauge colour choice for his and pick up a few parts.

Picked up some great tips, better hoard of parts, seen a few Imp's with the wider 7" deep dish rims on the front which we were led to believe wouldn't work, had a chat with probably the friendliest bunch I've been to (outside of our meets of course ) and thoroughly enjoyed the day out.

They do know how to put an event on too, big marquee with bar, 4 days of activities inc sight-seeing driving tests, camping on site for all, auto jumble etc etc.

Some cracking little Imps there, plus a splattering of Singer Chamois and Stilleto's plus a few Imp based Ginetta

Not all pristine examples though....

Rob did pick up a bargain in this manifold with a pair of Stromberg carbs...not in bad condition, Rob's stripping them down now and they look to have been in use fairly recently so a seal kit and a once over should see them in use

Really like the dark blue one. Suits it well. Or is it just my faulty eyesight, do all colour blind blokes like blue ?

event was near Warwick at Hatton Country World, south of Coventry

I too like the blue....but Rob is now wavering towards the rosso red...which of course I don't mind

Noooo......stick to the original colour, it will look top notch with mini lights.
