1978 Alfasud TI 2nd series project

Post by Alfa_Japan »

Gents, not sure if the ad I found is old and whether it has already been posted before, but the rare opportunity to find a S2 TI is so special I'm sure people would forgive me if this would turn out to be double posting

Although it will be a tough project saving an S2 is definitely worth while.

That looks like it will take some work.
Hope someone can do it justice.
They just keep turning up , don't they ?

Looking at the amazing restoration jobs executed by some of the members here (e.g. KevJTD) there's a chance to get this S2 TI up and running with of course a significant amount of work. There are some S1 TI's in the project section that were in a very similar condition, so there must be a Sud addict here who wants to give to give it a go. The S2 TI is more rare then the S1 TI I suppose.

S2 ti......hmn....tempting to stick this one with the collection of future projects....not quite tempting enough at the moment though but i'd have it for a bit less than the asking

Hello KevJTD, good idea, put it in your collection of future projects  In a few years there are no S2's remaining!!! Although the seller sounds a bit cocky when it comes to the price maybe you can pursuade him for the price you have in mind. Save this S2!!!!

I had a look at this at the weekend. Too far gone for me, but a few usable parts. I told the guy that if he didn't have any luck to call me. We will see what happens!

It was pretty bad wasn't it Jon,

very little to speak of in the inner floor right out to the outer sill area's, pillars, rails, scuttle, quarters, etc etc, were all pretty much shot i'm afraid to say.

as Jon says, a few useful bits inside maybe, but the shell was a hell of lot of work!
