Re: A unique opportunity
Wow, 965 miles! Wonder if that mileage can be backed up with documentation or by some other means?

Did anyone view the Sprint?
Re: A unique opportunity
I rang the auctioneers this morning, the Sprint made £12,300 hammer price, so £15,250 with buyers premium and the vat ! Worth every penny, - but not sure about the colour !

Re: A unique opportunity
It must have been good and the mileage genuine to sell for a total of £15k, perhaps twice what it cost new? Not sure about the colour either, it's different I guess. Hope to see this car at some shows next year...

Re: A unique opportunity
If that mileage is genuine it has to go down as an absolute bargain.
Less than a thousand miles though. What would you do with it, would you want to drive it anywhere? Even a few hundred a year?
Nowt wrong with the Colour!

Re: A unique opportunity
I'd cringe going over the 1000 miles mark!
Re: A unique opportunity
Does anyone know where it came from, history of just 900 miles etc?
Seemed a strange place to auction it.
I like the colour, so long as it didn't have beige seats, they look dark in the pic.
Must be car collection material at that price and history.

Haha Veesix75... I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you don't realise I have a yellow 'sud with beige seats.
Love this Sprint, best sprint model too in my opinion.
Some nice Sprints for sale at the moment, love that green one on car and classic too. Think it sold now, was up for about 11k.

Oops....
Of course beige seats are also my second favourite after the charcoal ones.......
I just prefer them in a darker body colour.

Re: A unique opportunity
reminds me of a really lovely sunbeam alpine I MoT'ed last summer, did a deceleramoter brake test rather than a roller test and whilst going around the little route near the garage the mileage turned over to 10k. felt quite guilt about it really, such a milestone for such a lovely old caralfasuddriver wrote:I'd cringe going over the 1000 miles mark!

That's a lovely car, especially on a sunny day. I remember my GTV V6 hitting the 40k mark, I was going past a speed camera

Re: A unique opportunity
That mileage on the Sprint is accurate by the way. The previous owner bought the car new and then shortly aterwards took up employment in South Africa, which is where he stayed with the car being left behind in dry-storage. Until now....
Re: A unique opportunity
Superb colour - the combination of bright yellow and black gutters and B-pillar show off Giugiaro's masterpiece to perfection. For me, even better looking than a GTV

Re: A unique opportunity
Might not be a lot of profit depending on which end of the reserve it makes.
Can only assume the previous auction buyer intended to turn it around again for profit.
17k hammer would take it to 20k for the buyer?
Good luck either way, it's certainly had a polish.

Wow!
Is this the best most 'Sud in the country?
Gotta be worth 15-20k of someone's money. Unique.
