Alfa 8c technical drawings

Post by Josh »

I have several technical drawings of an 8c one of is the whole car and the others are of individual parts or sections from the car they are all dated around 1930 and I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about them they are in a range of condition with some slightly Tared and others are just slightly yellow whether there original or not I don't know but anything anyone knows about them would help or tell me whether there worth anything or not? Thanks in advance.

Hi Josh

and welcome to the forum.

I'm sure they'd be worth "something", but i'm certainly not the bloke to tell you what or how much.

They sound very interesting though, but the best advise would probably be found at the auction houses etc specialising in classic cars and automobilia i suspect.

Keith, Kegsti, or Phil, Alfasixnut, may know somewhere or someone????

Hi Josh - and welcome
It may well be worth trying to contact an owner of an 8C to see if they would buy - or the Italian Alfa "Museo Storica" in Milan, (which I believe has now reopened?).

Hi Josh,

The person to speak to is Angela Cherrett who runs the Alfa Romeo section of the VSCC (Vintage Sports Car Club). She is an authority on all pre-war Alfas and has written books on the subject, many regarded as definitive - particularly on the 8C and 6C cars.

Her address details are readily available on the web but if you can't fiond them pm me and I will forward them on.

Cheers,

Ted

hi josh

apologies, but i think that's a forum standard thingy :!: its to stop folk joining solely to promote and sell things to indivduals

just make a few more posts and it will automatically open up for you i'm sure.

on topic though, it sounds like Ted has the exact person and approach for you, (cheers Ted ;) ) so it appears very worthwhile pursuing that avenue i reckon :D
