Went along today with my lad Rob, was gonna get a few hours there yesterday but too busy.

No track action pics, some great old bikes out there but spent most of the day arround the paddock area, especially when the rains came and most guys didn't fancy the track..

YZR500 2 stroke screamer & RC45 4 stroke GP engines, both tiny units for what power they produced.

The flat area that has been made at the top of the hill on the pit straight is indeed for burger vans, toilets too. So a one stop shop

My fav shot of the day though, the legend that is Giacomo Agostini who graciously stopped for my Rob to have a once in a lifetime pic.
Ago is still the rider to have won the most Grand Prix 'bike races, although Rossi is catching him up. "Maybe it's best if Rossi rejoins Ducati" quipped Ago when asked about his record

Made the day for us Kieth, although I never seem to get in on these pics, only taking them!
Ago though was a true Gent. Near the end of his 2nd day having his pic taken and autograph asked for, he popped in on the stand we were looking at and needed to rush off for the trophy giving of the next race but still stopped and posed for the pic with a clearly delighted and starstruck Rob.
A true legend in so many ways.

Loads of bike names there this weekend, James Haydon, Jamie Whitham, John Reynolds, Phil Read, Chris Walker, Gary Johnson, Mick Grant, Derek Chatterton, Jim Redman, Roger Burnett, Roger Marshall etc etc....the list goes on.

Do hope that it becomes an annual event, it being the first ever staging of it at Cadwell. Judging by the huge crowds (probably as big as BSB Qualifying day, parking in the field outside the circuit entrance) then they will have no issues selling tickets again.
Flying display by a Spitfire & a Hurricane just topped it off nicely.

This Cadwell season ticket I bought is the best £79 I think I've ever spent!

bugger me, what a sound!

that right there is the reason why i will never take the slightest interest in F1 car racing, where has the sound gone???

a few of those on track together must have near made your ears bleed while putting a silly grin across your chops

talking of interesting engines, they reckonned that honda were building a V8 2 stroke 125cc engine back in the day, before the FIM put a limit on how many cylinders you could have per class....
