actually, i've been looking around for a reliable Members Map, powered by google maps or similar.
I think its a great idea, and would really help us organising meets and events, aswell as local assistance and contacts.
and i'll know who to ask when i've drunkedly bought something on ebay, only to then soberly realise it was collection only and 300 miles away! ha ha!!
we've all been there, be honest!!!
I am looking into it good sir.
cheers

Morning chaps
Yeah the map would be cool as long as it doesn't get lost like it does on another alfa forum
As for drunken eBay purchases? I don't know what your talking about

i once bought VJM after a late night visit to ebay, viewed through rose tinted beer goggles
seemed a good idea at the time
then realsied it was a 250+ mile trip to fetch it.
when i got there i then realised it was worse than i feared!
turned out ok in the end though

Morning chaps
With the location option in your profile already, couldn't you just make members fill that part in .as I've read threads already where members are asking where others live? Just to save on asking?
But a map would cool for future development

There is a map on the AROC site that you can plot your location on but the site doesn't work.
http://www.mapservices.org/
Which makes this a completely pointless post

You guys should just stop complaining about picking up cars from a remote location ....
Where's your sense of adventure ???
Hell I'd DRIVE to UK to pick up a car and tow it back home if it werent for the flipping Mediterranean sea in the middle !!!
All you need is:
1 - Fuel money
2 - A friend who doesnt talk too much
3 - A pack of smokes
4 - A tuna sandwich
and
5 - A bag full of coffee and a piss jar
