Head gasket 1,7 8V vs 16V

As topic. Are they the same? Have a 16V head gasket set and a 8V engine with mech tappets 
Yes, I think so, - well sort of, - the last few gasket sets that I've had for the 8v engines have had 16v head gaskets in them, the cut outs for the water ways are slightly different, - these have been from British Gaskets ( BGA ) so, hopefully, they would know whether they were interchangeable or not.
