Apparently, so that we don't get carried away with genorosity, Tony let me know earlier that he has reduced his letter to Santa this year down to a single item,

trouble is, its this one

Bet she doesn't stay in this country. My guess is it will make £200k+. Give your estimate and we will see who is the "virtual buyer".

Its surprising enough to even see that calibre of car on ebay in the first place, so i'm at a loss at where the bidding may go?

It has got a long way to go before it makes any records mind, which according tut'tinternet was a 1959 Ferrari 250 GT California - $3.26 million !!!!!!

£146k as of now. Yes Shrew the stables are the same. Doesn't say it was a barn find, though he finds some rare cars from somewhere.

Ha ha!

It does look like i was the closest guess, certainly not highest bidder! Lol!

So now i suspect it will be a case of how close to the reserve did it get?

And can either the top couple of bidders be coerced into making a purchase, off ebay if course.

If the reserve was almost achieved, i suspect it will now sell off ebay to one of those bidders.

The final value charges and ebay fees would have been bloody expensive, so the vendor can afford a healthy reduction in the reserve price for a private cash type sale instead.

If thats the case, then it could prove clever use of ebays listings, if not, its just been an expensive exercise!
