Has anyone got a rear drivers side wing for a sprint or know where to get one?

Im seeing if i can get the parts , if i can then im going to repair it, if not then i will have to break it.

What i really need is that rear wing!

All three have lots of rare bits.

I was trying to do a little digging, because the side protectors, 1.3 engine, and bumpers etc weren't ringing the right noises for a trofeo, but, apparently 200 of that car were made for france only i believe,

Does that sound right mike?

I have no idea abour that , you would know more than me. I only now about the trofeo since i bought this one!
What is difference between a trofeo and a standard car?

The trofeo sprints were mainly a trim and colour thing, not a mechainical or performance difference as far as i know.


So they all got the silver paint, red/blue/white striping and emblem, a specific grey cloth upholstery, and the first ones got a set of two tone wheels.

these were all series 1 type cars, so stainless bumpers, early lights etc, but yours is possibly one the later French only types, which had the later bumpers, side protection and the all silver wheels.

Its the 1.3 engine that throws me, as i'd learned previously that all trofeo's were 1.5, but it seems the french may have had a few of these trofeo specials however they wanted them?

Shrew, isn't Bryan the guy to talk to about a Trofeo?
He did the register for the suds and has a personal interest on Trofeos.
Not sure if he is on this site yet.

Just out of interest, could this rear wing not be panel beaten back into shape (assuming it's not rotten)? Just a thought...

The sud register for sure, would be a great if not the place to research i reckon, good call, I'm no authority on such things at all, pure homework so far with these sprints.


As for the rear quarter, it doesn't look that bad really, I've seen worse things very well repaired, and it might be a good opportunity to deal with any inner skin issues, or maybe go fibreglass instead?

I know what i would probably do, but thats just me!

I think I would go down that road too Shrew, that way you don't have to find parts that are like hens teeth and also you don't have to disrupt panel joints. I had a crash damaged Sud that took a whack to the door, b post and rear wing and pushed the b post out with a hydraulic jack and panel beat the rear quarter. Only needed to find a door after that.

There was a rear quarter on eBay a few months ago, can't remember which side and who had it - I think it was Steve Parry (google 'Mr Sud' he should come up, or I can post an eBay link for his other parts).

I've also seen far worse repaired, but I guess it's the labour/hours to do it versus fitting a new one.

Fully agree about the repair and not disturbing too much of the original joints, plus, if you can find one, a new quarter will cost a bomb.
The time spent to strip and fit the new panel could be spent pulling and beating.
