A thing of beauty

Went to Boston bike night tonight with my lad, Rob.
Literally 100's of bikes, of all ages and styles.
Didn't take loads of pics, just found the one that I'd been trying to find, my dream bike.
Not a Duke, although I do adore them.
An MV Agusta F4, an RR 312 no less.
190bhp and 194mph.
Design that would just keep you smiling.
I know it wouldn't be the most comforatble of rides, or the most reliable, but just look at the thing.
The best exhaust system any bike ever had.

8-)

I just love their desmodromic valve gear!

Actually I like the look of Ducatis too, and its nice to know that they have the same valve stem diameter as an Alfa boxer engine, so I can use their top hat shims to reset the clearances on the Alfatune engine... when I get the special spacers made up

Very classy Kev but a bit to modern for me. This however floats my boat.

hmmmm,

lots for me to have an over inflated opinion in here! ha ha!

the MV, for all its looks, is a perfect example of a waste of money.

They regularly don't deliver the goods they promise on paper, and by the looks of the chicken rails around the back tyre, this one doesn't get ridden properly anyway. I kind of think of them, and the "special" Ducati's in the same way, they are the Range Rover of the bike world, pure status, "look at what i can afford, and not to use" type of bikes.

Give me an old rotax motored Aprilia RSV-R and he wouldn't see me for dust!

Give me an Aprilia RSV4 and i'd never stop long enough for him to see me at all! ha ha!

Talking purely Italian exotica of course. In truth, for sportbikes, it doesn't get much better than a Suzuki GSXR, any model or size, they are all just brilliant imo :D

Now the Vincent, oh my lord, i think they stood out head and shoulders above their competing brands back then, particularly in race/cafe form. The proportions were just so right, and still look beautiful today,

I know which one i'd like in the man shed! ;)

ha ha!

you and most MV owners then mate, if not all to be honest.

they daren't ride them half the time because they don't fancy the igdignance of the AA lorry, and certainly cant ride them hard enough to risk binning it and a pending repair bill!

now heres a sexy italian number you can ride as hard as you like!

and it will be within the realms of decency too!
