I'm struggling with being able see with all this sun(lol) were having lately ,seems be reflecting the top of the speedo/tacho pod right in my line of sight ,any tips ?

It wasn’t a problem in the 80s that was before global warming ! It’s a lot sunnier these days

When I first bought my sud back in the seventies it was quite normal to get the windscreen so covered in bugs that you had to regularly use the windscreen washers to clear the screen. Never seems to happen these days ?

It's not really the glare from the dash it's that the dash is reflecting in the window ! It must be the perfect angle , read somewhere to sandpaper the surface but that sounds a bit extreme, I'll try different materials placed on it , maybe black felt or wet,n,dry sandpaper.

If you remove the binnacle and spray it Matt black that may help . I may even have spare binnacle housing I’ll have a look in the shed later

Yup, that looks like it should do the job , it was never going win a concours anyhow.
