Gearboxes

Just wondering if anyone is any good at identifying gearboxes?

I've got a collection of about 5 Sud and 33 8v & 16v gearboxes that I've removed from cars over the years. Unfortunately I've had to move garages three times over the past couple of years and now I can't remember which is which!

They have identifying marks on them and I think I've got three different types (photos attached).

I'd be grateful for any help in case I ever get round to re-using them

Thanks

The Sud & early Sprint ones are easy to determine from late Sprint/33 ones, the Sud type has the studs near the drive flanges for the calipers.

As far as I know there isn't any identification marks that will determine what gearing they are inside, opening them up and counting teeth would do that.
But you can work out the gearing by some calculating to see what car they are from without taking it apart, I used a clutch plate whilst locking off one side flange then see how many clutch turns it takes to rotate the free moving flange, from that you can work out each gears ratio..
