Thing is Simon, Jonathans will always be original.
Love that car, will be great to see it again and looking forward to seeing your black S2.
Hope we can get every sud that turns up, parked together, they will need telling at the gate on arrival if they were not aware of our plans.
as above guys, really looking forward to seeing you all there, a huge thanks in advance from me for seeing the potential of this meet and making it special
john griffiths (event organising team leader) is well aware that we require space to get all the suds together so the gate staff will be up to speed on it. i'll be there early doors to help and try and get the space ready. john has asked that folks try not to arrive
too early as they are not able to set up the directions etc until morning so a group of us lot turning up at 9am will only hinder them.
gates are open from 10-30am offically but usually manned from around 10am so for any early arrivers they will (usually) be able to get in.
for some of you guys travelling from further afield than the lucky 1.5 hours away such as muself then maybe a collection area somewhere nearby may be an idea? a local pub car park maybe? i don't know the area so can't suggest anything.
my mate is also bringing my 33 down so for the first time i'll have 2 cars there!

just to repeat another impotant fact that may have been missed guys, we are to follow the MITCAR (normally white signs with MITCAR in big letters, on wooden stakes in grass verges) signs for the entrance off the A43, not the normal brown council roadsigns as we'll be going in through the tradesmans entrance

Brilliant day today. Excellent turn out of Boxers, 21 in total. Well done to all who helped to make this happen.

Great day and good to put a few names to faces. Had a great drive back, went cross country when the M1 started to get congested, the car appreciated the thrash!

what a nice way to spend a sunday.
weather thankfully was superb, warm enough without being overbearing (although the shiny red top i've got now might say otherwise....) but best of all it remained dry.
what can i say about the attendance, superb effort guys and gals.
16 suds & 5 sprints was a superb attendance tht hasn't been rivalled for years.
a huge thanks from myself and the MITCAR team for you all making the effort to get along, i know it wasn't easy for some with the distances involved not to mention the distance but i think that everyone enjoyed themselves enough to feel it worthwhile, i certainly did
i'll get some pix up later on

John Griffiths of the MITCAR team has just emailed me to ask to thank you guys for putting on a great Sud display today, seems we were a big hit amongst the visitors, and why wouldn't we be! So many great cars it was hard to chose a best one.....which incedntally seems to have been our downfall. We got a lot of votes for car of the day but it was spread amongst all our cars so not one got enough individual votes to win! Sods law, eh?
Still, we put on a good show.
Now, next year we aim to go one better.
You've 12 months to get planning

Great day Kev, thanks for all the pushing.
As said by others, good to meet up and put a few more faces to names.
Great turn out, and I am sure we will add to the score next year.
Here is a few from another angle.

Had a fantastic day. So many gorgeous 'Suds and sprints, great to see some old faces and some not so familiar ones.
That shoot down at the lake was pretty special, with all those iconic 'suds in bright and different colours made for quite a memorable image.
Big thanks to Kev for making it happen. I think Colin deserves a big pat on the back for getting all three of his down there all the way from Durham too!
Next year?, it's got to be a must!

next year at MITCAR is definetly possible if you guys want it, john has given us an open invitation to coem along to any AROC event but if we want MITCAR again then that'd be great with him as his east midlands team are the guys behind it.
next time though i propose setting up a gazebo with chairs in a nice group so we can picnic and chat together in a nice little community feel
date/venue won't be known until january at the earliest but by the nature of it being the midlands italian car day it'll be ...in the midlands
usually around the middle of august too

I think it would be great Kev.
Enjoyed meeting up with all the guys and gals from further up north, and really appreciate the distance they travelled to make the day. As Miles posted, big thanks to Col and his mates for bringing down the three gems from Durham.

I hope the film of the convoy taken by the random motorist ends up on you tube , love to see that.
I am sure the numbers could get a lot bigger next year as we all seemed to know of people who couldn't make it this year.
Where ever MITCAR is held next year, we will all help fill it I am sure.

Sorry that I could not, in the end, get the 6C there, but it was really great to see so many Suds and Sprints in one place - and in the sun!
The condition of all of them was fantastic and a real tribute to the hours of love and attention to detail that the owners have put into their cars....
..Well Done to all..
...And a special thanks to Kev for getting the CAF up and running and being so supportive to so many of us in the Sud Sector!

a video of an overhead shot would be mega simon, it'd have made for a great alternative view on things. in fact i bet john would be interested in having an offical one done for the whole event...
so many people need thanking for making the effort to get there it's far more than the effort i made, a few conversations with john and the team and the fingers crossed that you guys would jump on board were all i had. thankfully you all made it even better than i'd hoped, thanks go to you all for making it a great day.
here's to next year....i'll just need a sud to go in!

Hi Keith & Kev,
Yes Michael drove the black S2. He is back to University for his final year in October after a years work placement with Apple at their London head office.
He has set up a little UAV company to do paid aerial work.
He will definitely do Mitcar free of charge if you want subject to meeting the rules of the air for a commercial UAV.
Brgds,
Simon
