Yesterday I was working on another of my projects - and this is where all those 40 IDFs have gone!
It is a Jaguar V12 that is going into a tube framed MGB GT. The inlet manifold is fabricated from Alfa top flanges and Jag fuel injection block flanges with aluminium tubes to join them. All the flanges are welded and I will be tidying them up - but I couldn't resist putting them all on the block with the carbs and ram pipes........

Well the Moggy has passed its MoT but it is so gutless with the 803cc engine! The Ford cross-flow sounds much more entertaining......

Entertaining getting it to fit !!!only real issue has been getting bell housing to clear steering rack but sorted that and had a real head ache with getting a clutch as it turned out it had a lotus cortina flywheel and no clutch I ordered fitted but found a lightened standard escort flywheel and all was good

Yesterday I was finishing off the Ronart - taking off the IVA bits (round edges/soft caps/alloy wheels etc) and putting the pretty bits back on.

As Kev and Philip have mentioned on the "Suds in the sun" thread, it is not far away now.
So I did a few local repairs in the engine bay.
I had been meaning to get them done as I overloaded the primer when restoring the shell. Over the years it has cracked and split open.
Pleased to say that when ground out there were no signs of splitting or corrosion, just product abuse.
So I got the old girl in the air and removed the exhaust to get access to the bulkhead. Awkward job to do with a fitted up engine bay but glad it is done.
Just need to clean the mess up now, still, I have two weeks............

Cheers guys,
I was aware of the cracks a while ago, but a couple of eagle eyes spotted them at Duxford. :o :o
It wasn't anything nasty, just overloaded product, but as we know Suds are prone to fracturing bulkhead and inner wing areas so I needed to address it as some folk my have thought the worse.
Glad the weather is picking up, I got caught out the other week and she had a right soaking :x
See ya soon

lol, should have put it on the puzzle post, might have lasted a bit of time before you guys would recognise it's use.
it's a 22mm spanner chopped down with a 1/2" drive socket on it.
made it up to enable the oil pressure gauge sender to be removed without having to struggle with a long spanner, even less easy on a single carb engine than the twin.
long extension and the sender can be undone.
mine had packed up so swapped it out for a spare.
good excuse to take the car out for a spin :)

I have finally got a bit more done to my BGT project..... I had a go at mocking up the steering column.
I had a spare Morris Minor one that I thought would be useful........so I cut it in half and, with a temporary extension, it all fits.

Hi Kegsti and John
The intention is to make it sort of road legal........ but it is mainly "garage candy" with the odd bit of strip RWYB action. I really wanted to build something with the V12 as I have got 4, 6 and 8 cyl cars :o and I do like engines

In the meantime, I was able to use the welder today - so I finally repaired my lacy gusset!

Then I got stuck into bendy tubes - or rather stuck bendy tubes to exhaust flanges.

Then I had to put the temporary steering column back into its correct location to put the rear three pipe on.
