Excellent! Sounds big enough to build a Lightning, or at least something with a couple of RR Avons...

I thought similar, just wondering about the conversations they will have.
How about a webcam with sound.

rear panel all repaired now, holes at ends all boxed in
all straight enough now
did a few other jobs in preparation for finally starting to get some primer on very soon...
bootlid had a few dents in it to sort out so with that being the last panel (besides the grille, keep forgetting the grille) which with a quick glide over with the long sander showed them up well
bit of hammer & dolly work and the dents are pretty much gone
a quick thin skim of filler and it's all straight, could have straightened it out with the filler primer as the marks were shallow enough but quicker and easier to skim it over

Good days work buddy,
Looks nice, and a bit "redder" than i was expecting from robs colour choice, and in a good way!

back edge of the roof had a 4" wide repair section across the full width, happy with the result
drivers front wing got probably the most repairs. again, it's come out ok.
it'll all get flatted & polished in a bit, next job is to pack everything away from the unit as I'm moving out this weekend into the new bigger one....

Looks great, very bright so will stand out at the imp meetings. I'm wavering orange or red now
Top work saving a car on the very edge of its life, well done.
Time to get the Clio over so you can 'relax' flat out around cadwell for a change.

Fantastic work done there Kev.
As Tim says, you have pulled this one back from the brink.
Good luck with the move.

Lovely work Kev.
Top practical skills but bit of an artist too.
I liked the reflection of the Alfa Romeo logo in the roof shot.
Shield must be hanging on the wall. Don't forget it in the move!
All the best,
Simon

Cheers Simon
Yes, try and get the Alfa shield into any shots just to keep some kind of connection! It will be taken down off the wall tomorrow with the move that's for sure
In fact I tackled another task this week, getting the large dust extractor down from the roof as I'm taking it with me too, a block and tackle rigged up from the roof beams lowered it in relative safety...
This afternoon the task was to flat down all the fresh paintwork then complete all the stages of getting a shine back, didn't know if I'd complete it today but staying at it until after 10PM finally got the little car done.
The section of rear 1/4 pillar that I had to make up with the 3 grooves gave me trouble in trying to make it but I'm happy with the results..
Front wing was also a bugger, but came out pretty decent.
Lots of hard work, no real short cuts, but it has again come up pretty decent.
Rob should be coming up to help me finish the move tomorrow so we'll push the Imp over to the new unit.

Looks great kev.take for ever flatting but worth it in the end.
I too always get the Alfa sign in most shots . Has to be done

yep, flatting is a pain but necessarily evil enough that it has to be done
Rob seems happy with it, he came up to the unit this morning to help me finish off moving everything over
with the amount of stuff he's got ready to go back on it shouldn't take too long to be completed, but that all depends how many hours he dedicates to it...

I had noticed that as well JB.
Imp looks great Kev and I can't wait to see it on those wheels.
Got a bit of flat and polishing to do tomorrow on the orange one.

No Alfa shields in these shots
Finally, around 6 months after buying them I got my 2 Delta HF Turbo's this morning.
White one is a scrapper once I chop some bits off it, grey one will be restored to it's former glory in due time.

On the same site mate, so still 30 mins on a good day.
Very cheap rent though so worth the drive.
Had a good chat with John this afternoon who is renting it with me, we've mapped out where we are going to have stuff, plenty of room as you say but if not careful it could soon get filled with all sorts of kelter.
Enough room for prep/welding which will be properly cordoned off from the rest to keep the dust and mess from the rest of the workshop.

Great space there Kev.
I will pop over sometime to take a look. Proper jealous.
Looks like you will have to find a Lancia clock for your set of photo's now though.
