i had one of those Keith, CBR 600 FM, flippin great bike, and i can honestly say its the bike that taught me how to ride, or allowed me to learn, whatever! ha ha!

i swapped it with my dad for his GSXR750L, so that he could trade up to a GSXR1100L in a local dealer as the 600's were simply the thing to have and it was worth a better deal for him.

The honda was brilliant, but i have to say that's where my love affair with everything GSXR started too, and although i had many other bikes that followed, GSXR's just do it for me :?

Chris, ZX9R C1/2, similarly brilliant in my opinion, and although very much in the shadow of the R1's arrival over here, i think many folk missed out on the best all round superbike at the time, the 9R was great at everything, average at nothing.

this was probably down to our weekly publication MCN (More Crap than News!) who seem to simply sell out to highest bidder and/or latest fad and craze rather than a proper unbiased test, but most reader believe the hype eh!

Then it comes to bikes yamaha rd350lc and suzuki gsxr's are my main love but honda cbr900 is the only bike I have left now
I did have a early ducati 916 but sold it as couldn't ride it with my prolapsed disc

I liked the CBR1000 R too, electronic stabilizer and all, you could lean it down using one hand.

The ZX9R is a fantastic bike, throttle response from a carburator bike is much better than injection IMHO, but then again I might be biased :p
Only thing I have against the 9R is the weight/size. Bit on the bulky side to be honest. Other than that, it goes like a rocket ;)

I miss a ride to be honest... Might get all winded up again
