As a continuation of a conversation I had with Shrew earlier........
Today is should have been collecting my Alfa ready for a show tomorrow. Instead I ended up refurbing garden furniture, cutting grass, setting up a fruit cage and planting lettuce. Triffic. Top, top day!
How did your day turn out? Expectation v reality?
Go on then.........
What I wanted to do today v what I actually did

Sounds like you had a great day!
..
Well for me , nothing special .. Graeme has been working away alot recently and when home he is also working .. so we decided to have a "potter about day" .. got up late .. well graeme did .. had a cooked breaky.. with HP sauce .. :p .. then hit the shops .. not for anything particular .. but I did manage to pick up some Sabatier scissors, 2 pairs actually, from TK Max for less than a fiver each!
went out at midday and returned home about 8.30 pm with sore feet and a lighter purse.. after going to 2 out let villages and Meadow Hall twice! And Sainsburys
Opened a bottle of vino and was fast asleep by 9.30 ... oh what an exciting life I lead ...
Going back to the OP .. how come you didnt collect the Alfa ...

Joe
There's a post about it in the Alfetta section. Prop rebalance, etc
I like the sound of your day. Especially the cooked brekkie!
Sabatier scissors?

Just caught up with the thread ..
Poor you .. such disappointment ...
I keep seeing friends of mine post on Face Book about BIAMF too ...
such a shame ..
Anyway .. it sounds like you had a very productive day ...
The Scissors are just decent ones for a very very very low price ..
put it this way .. for a set of quality kitchen knives you wont get much change out off £300 .. but they do last for years and have a 25 year guarantee ...

Re: What I wanted to do today v what I actually did
What I wanted to do was get the MoT on the Sprint 6C.
Well I found a local MoT place and they had a slot this morning so I got the 6C in - and it failed on a non working fog lamp and funny side light dip beam issue. However they said they could fix it tomorrow morning if I cannot by then.
So I rumbled home but overheated - again......filled up when it had cooled down and the water came out as fast as I put it in. needless to say it was coming from the most inaccessible place so I have stripped out the rear bulkhead and panel - after taking the speaker panel out and the side window out. found the leaking pipe - part of main water pipe to radiator, finally got it out and it is a failure on the weld - of the EWS - welded steel tube! So what I have actually done is take the 6C apart.........
