There were some cracking bikes there today. Ducati V4 desmo Casey Stoner edition thing sounded awesome, started me thinking what I could do with one of those engines in a small sports car...

Green Laverda triple was my favourite bike today I think...

Sorry I missed you, Tony - I did see you drive past, hope you had a nice morning!

Unless you want the engine out of the small sports car more than in it, i wouldn't go Ducati Lauren!

But an Aprilia RSV4, or the older twin, and maybe even Suzuki's TL1000R twin, oh yes, if you want the kind of note and power that thumps and thumps! :P

Thanks Shrew, I bow to your superior knowledge of bikes and bike engines :D

My friend Graham is building a hillclimb car with a Yamaha R1 and a trick Quaife transmission that does away with a chain drive. Nice as it is, the engine is still transversely mounted in the chassis, and I prefer in-line with a proper transaxle. Graham supplied the answer in the form of this video...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0fhLasMogE

Even though the engine is a Huyabusa, I just want to hear this noise again and again...!

That just doesn't pick up quick enough, change gear fast enough or blow the massive air extractor pipe away with its exhaust enough for me.......
