Does anyone know the thread size that the oil filter screws onto. I seem to remember it is not an obvious one like M20 but some weird imperial size some like 11 and 5/17's

was just over there trying to find the list of known good filters to use
don't go for the cheapest option ed, some don't have any non return valves at all and some just have the one
i'm still trying to find the list, if anyone finds it please list it here, always handy thing to have to hand
That would be a really handy list. I am trying to avoid anything that doesn't have the correct non return valves. Supposidely Alex is getting a batch of genuine Fiat / Alfa ones before too long.

if the price is reasonable i wouldn't mind half a dozen or so, same for all the boxer engines i believe? will look better on my S1 sud when i (eventually) get started on it
