Head gasket 89 mm bore..

Just thinking about some parts for a new engine with 89 mm pistons..
To order new pistons I have to know the measurements of the head gasket. I know some guys of you already assembled such an engine with 89 mm bore.
What size of head gasket did you use? The standard one for 87 mm bore has actually 88,4 mm diameter.
Is it possible to use the standard 1700 head gasket with 89 mm bore?
What do you think..?

I have used a 1700 head gasket, but was not happy about it and would have preferred a larger one to lose the overlap.

Talked to an old engineer who was with BRM and he said they used to uncurl the edge on some gaskets, take some of the material out

and then curl the edge back over. Very time consuming, but it worked. Food for thought.

I also plan building 89mm bore engine(s) and have at my own cost and risk ordered a custom made batch of 20x 89.5mm bore headgaskets in the hope I could sell the gaskets I don't need myself. They are made with the same material (metal enforced) and thickness, only the bore is larger. And they left out the center hole in between the bores as it is a blind hole. Should you think it is needed you would have to cut it yourself. Also they made the holes for the locating dowels a little to small and a little off, they need to be tweaked with a round file, small job.
I have a few left that I can sell for 75 euro/pair. Signed postage would be about 16 euro and paypal charges a stunning 5 euro, so I noticed.
