Re: Oil Cooler Installation
Hi - sorry to be late to this, but rather than oil cooler I’d have switched to Castrol 10/60 Edge (titanium super car). Would still strongly suggest you do so even with the cooler. The 60 means the oil withstands the higher temps. I’ve always used it in my race cars, even the production spec engines...

Festival Italia pre 85 grid/race
The ARCA guys are trying to pull together a pre 85 race for Italian classics at brand hatch.
I’m thinking of entering - although from the what’s on section of the web site it looks like they are expecting me.
https://www.festivalitalia.com/
Be nice to see a decent grid of older cars.

Twin 40 IDF webers, genuine Italian made.
As above, fitted to my 1500 modified engine so may have slightly enlarged jets, and I think on 34mm chokes but I need to check. Clean and perfect inside, might be a bit of external residue from a hot race engine blasting at 8000rpm but honestly perfect and ready to fit bar checking the jet sizes. No...

Alfa 33 adjustable rear shockers , race or track possibly fast road
Hello again
I have a pair of Spica Adjustable shocks that were fitted to a 33 race car, will most likely be revalved to operate on a lowered set up. Not sure how stiff but might be ok for Road on the soft setting.
£60 for the pair.

Alfa 33 race or track day springs
I have a set of front and rear springs for 33 suspension. The fronts are AHM and c450lb, the rears I’m not sure of the source but are c600lb. This setup is what I’ve always used on my Sud and Sprint racers with 33 suspension. To be 100% clear, you would be bonkers to use these on a road car, they ar...

Sud 1200 ti very good low miles 1st, 2nd, 3rd and reverse gear set.
Hello As above, just the gear set and syncros, no casing or diff. Confirmed as low miles and vgc by Phil when BLS were still open, Phil rebuilt my race car gearbox which uses 1st,2nd,3rd from a 1700 8v gearbox, alongside the 1200ti 4th, 5th and diff (and the casing, as my old one had a huge hole in ...

Re: Sud 1200ti gearbox
Hi Ade, I’ll chat to Lou and then give you a shout. Thing is I do have another which is very good other than the sump got dented in storage, it came out of my Sud racer hence why I know it’s all good. I’ve been holding onto it as a spare just in case but you never know. It will be a bit more £ than ...

Hi Lou, no idea on mileage sorry, probably not too high as they all rotted :D I’m currently unemployed by choice so looking to move things on and put some cash towards other things. 1700 8v fast road c130bhp engine
Comrades I’ve been storing a Dave Ashford/Brunswick built 1700 8v with a good 130bhp (maybe a bit more tbh as this was on 32mm chokes and a std. factory exhaust manifold, so a bit throttled). I had it built for my first Sud racer, in the production spec class. It is lightened , balanced, rebore, new...

Re: My 84 Sud Ti Project
The green one was about a week away from being dismantled on the driveway due to terminal rust, and yes the trusty brick to stop it rolling into the garage door. The white s1 in the background of the second pick replaced it. I loved that green sud, I drove it flat out everywhere, had a ANSA back box...

It can be a bit random I find Dave. Aviva gave me a very competitive quote for my own car, but worse terms for a multi car with daughters cars included. Admiral were high for my car, but far lower on multi car with daughters included. I also used to use Sheila’s Wheels, but they don’t insure under 2...

Re: My 84 Sud Ti Project
I would stick to original, it’s a lovely colour and if you fit those Revo wheels you could do the spokes graphite? Or this green if going non s3 std but still a Sud colour (I like green obviously…), clearly the paints a bit flat looking on my first ever, very tired bodily, but very quick Sud as a 17...

Re: Battery charging
Thanks Dave I had a look in our Fiat 500 handbook, it reminded me I had previously charged the battery on the Giulietta with stop start and there’s a sensor clipped on the battery that comes off, and then just connect the charger direct to battery without removing leads. For non stop start it says t...

Dumb question perhaps …… My BMW’s have always had specific under bonnet +ve and -ve posts for jump starting or battery charging, never had to go anywhere the battery. It’s a long time since I had to charge a battery direct on a modern car with loads of electronic goodies. I have an intelligent charg...

Hi Keith, it’s an M4 Competition …..with an added later life crisis convertible steel roof, so side on looks a bit like an M2 on steroids, or one that ate all the pies.

That is truly wonderful, often fancied one myself. The shape suits silvers and metallic grays. What colour are the seats ?
