The 40idfs on my 1.7 need about 3 turns before they start idling well.

I think it's going to be around 300 GBP all up including postage. Not sure what import duties you may have there.

Re: Tight bush . . . . .

Next step is to push the bush in about 5mm. Important not to go too far or you may wreck the bush by pulling the centre pin too far through. So stop, undo the vice and remove the bolt.

Re: Tight bush . . . . .

Next tighten the vice making sure everything stays lined up. As the tension increases the bolt pushes back on the centre pin deforming the bush and causing the outer Nylon shell to become slightly conical in shape. In the next pic the vice is just nipped up on the bush. It's important at this stage ...

Re: Tight bush . . . . .

Next get a big socket to push the bush in from behind and assemble into the vice or press as shown below. Note when the bolt just nips up in the vice there is about 5mm gap between the arm and the vice jaw.

See the pic and note the gap.

Re: Tight bush . . . . .

Not many tools required. Start with one of the short bolts that are used dto mount the arm to the car. Remove nut and all washers. Put it through the new bush with the long end out the same side as the chamfer.

See the pic.

Re: Tight bush . . . . .

I will take a pic when I do the other bushes over the weekend but basically if you pull the centre pin back as you push the bush in it makes the outer Nylon sleeve become conical in shape. So the bush already has a small chamfer on the edge of the nylon on one side plus an overall taper to assist th...

Aftermarket wheel offset Sud and early Sprint

Hello all Just curious about peoples experience with aftermarket wheels and the affects on handling I know the offset on the phone dial speedline wheels is about +38mm. If you use a wheel like the Ronal A1 that is 15x7 with +25 offset how does it affect the driving characteristics? Will it cause too...

That looks very good wsll done. When are you going into production then . I'm going to get a 6 metre( by 1.5 metre wide) batch made very soon. I figured out you need 2 metres to do an entire retrim. Both samples look good to me but I think the secret is if you use this material you need to retrim t...

Series 3 Alfasud Distributor

Hello all

The Magneti Marelli distributor in my late model ALfasud TI QV has two pick-up coils inside. Anybody know what the second one is for? Or have a wiring diagram that covers the distributor with two coils?

Many Thanks

Hi there Does anybody have a set of the black and red seats for sale in very good condition? The ones with TI in the centre section.
