I had some of these remade a few years ago (badges for S2 1.3 and 1.5 'Suds and also the underbonnet "recommended lubricants" sticker), and I sold my stock and the tooling to Steve Parry (mrsud.couk). It is probably worth giving him a call.

Re: Converting my LHD sprint to RHD
I have a LHD 'Sud and have slowly accumulated the parts to make it RHD - it is amazing how they add up, the rack is the tip of the iceberg. You will need a wiring loom, a dashboard, the shelf panel that goes underneath the dashboard, a RHD pedalbox, a RHD steering column (look in the parts book - se...

Re: Series 1 TI seat fabric
Hi, I need to know how much fabric you want and to have received a 50% deposit (for anyone that I do not know) by Monday 5th November lunchtime if you want to get some fabric on order. Thanks to everyone who has already committed - I will let you know as soon as I have a completion date. All the bes...

Re: Series 1 Alfasud seat fabric
Just a quick (probably unnecessary) clarification of Jet's comment "He quoted me a ball park figure of around £150 per seat to remanufacture and replace the fabric inserts if all the vinyl is in good order." - this £150 does not include remanufacturing the fabric! ;) It sounds like very go...

Better photo - showing old and new, and the original, unfaded colour on the old that I am having matched (for those who do not want white...)

Hi, Just a last call for anyone else out there that might be interested in joining a small consortium getting S1 TI seat fabric remanufactured - and to show off the sample material that I have just received. Hi Alfasudti1978, Thanks very much for your interest. Shipping to Australia will not be a problem, I have access to FedEx and TNT if necessary, or the good old Royal Mail. :) I will PM you to request your direct contact details. At the moment I am still waiting for a sample of the final fabric, but ...

Re: Series 1 Alfasud seat fabric
Hi Crank, I will PM you to request your details. I will not have sample fabric for a week or 2, so you are in plenty of time. Thanks for your kind comments Alfa_Japan - I do have some self interest though, as I have a set of seats that need recovering myself. ;) I will keep this thread updated, but ...

Re: Series 1 Alfasud seat fabric
Hi, I am pleased to announce that I have had enough commitment from forum members now to order sample material to be made. I have placed the order and I have been told that it will take 7 to 10 days to arrive. Once the sample has been approved I need to order a minimum of 15m @ an estimated cost of ...

Re: Series 1 TI seat fabric
I currently have a very good Series 2 interior (including door cards and rear trims) in my car, and I must confess to having a cover on the driver's seat. Even the Series 2 trim does not wear that well and it seems a bit gratuitous to just wear it out....

Re: Series 1 TI seat fabric
Thanks very much for the link kegsti66, that was a great spot and spooky timing! I did see it before it sold, but I could not justify the cost for something so small and faded and with visible stains and marks. I also think that the original material is too fragile. My car had only done 30,000 odd m...

Series 1 Alfasud seat fabric
Hi, I have posted an entry in the classifieds section with this same title - do please look it up if you are in any way interested in participating in having Series 1 TI seat fabric remanufactured. I have had a disappointingly limited response to a problem that must affect most (all?) Series 1 TI ow...

Re: Series 1 TI seat fabric
Correction to my previous post - the remade fabric would be cotton, not wool. Cotton will still dye though!

Re: Series 1 TI seat fabric
Hi Jet, I was planning to go for the pale blue/grey that always fades to a dirty white - I am open to discussion about where on the blue/greyscale to aim. Given that the fabric is wool, there could be an argument for going light, allowing people to dye it themselves. What would your preference be? M...

Series 1 TI seat fabric
Hi, I am investigating getting a quantity of Series 1 TI seat fabric remade, and I have found a small company that specialise in short runs of custom fabric and already have experience of re-making fabric for classic vehicles. I have sent them a sample of the TI fabric and they have replied: "W...

Re: Alfasud SI Ti 1976 Restoration
Further to my previous post on the colour of your 'Sud, you really need to watch the Saab episode (Series 2, Episode 5 - confusingly it is advertised with a picture of a Volvo P1800) of "For the Love of Cars". It is still available on Channel 4's version of the iplayer, but only for anothe...

Thanks again for the comments and questions. Just to answer 1 or 2 questions... The snow over the Pyrenees was not really expected, but it should have been as we crossed in April and people were still ski-ing. Re: Alfasud SI Ti 1976 Restoration
Hi, My car is the same colour if you want to see one "in the flesh". Did you move down to West Sussex? I am in Alton, Hampshire. The colour has grown on me (I really like it in the sunshine, as it looks more yellow than beige!) but I do get rude comments from people that do not appreciate ...
Re: Tasty
Part 2 (:-)) We crossed most of Spain the following day, in a 500 mile marathon. The roads in Spain are either massive, deserted, un-photogenic motorways, (a tribute to unrestrained borrowing and EU subsidies) or beautiful, winding drivers’ roads – I strongly recommend it as a driving holiday destin...
Re: Tasty
Hi again, Here are a few photos of my trip back from Portugal with the Sud. I bought it on the strength of a few photos, several reassuring telephone conversations with Carlos (the young owner) and a lot of blind optimism. Carlos' father had had the car repainted and "re-commissioned", hop...

Hi, Sorry for the very belated reply, this is my Sud at the Goodwood Breakfast Club and thanks very much for the kind comments - and no rude comments about the colour! Thanks for the welcome and advice on using the site. Someone has already started a relevant post that I will reply to and KevJTD has already commented on - I took my car to a Goodwood Breakfast Club meeting last year (a bit cheeky it was a "hot hatch" meeting!) and Sud 145 kindly posted a ...

Re: My S1 Sud Ti
Hi,
Sorry if this is not the correct protocol for commenting on a posting - it is the first time that I have entered a discussion on a forum. I own a Series 1 'Sud TI in the same yellow/beige with blue interior combination, and I would be very interested to swap some pictures.
All the best,
Ian
