Hi Simon, I'm ok for wings, I have a few pairs, thanks for thinking about me and the offer. ;) John at just suds helped me out with the wing mounting rail, its a new item that was fitted to an unfinished restoration which John has broken for parts so it will need a bit of work but the best I could h...

Shrew is right about this being part of a larger piece of equipment, I have seen and worked on industrial welding machines back in the day when I was a maintenance engineer on production machinery, these were indeed water cooled but obviously not hand held machinery as this is intended to be used fo...

Hi Kev,
Looks a useful bit of kit mate. I would have thought compressed air would be the way to cool it but not 100% sure, water could be dangerous should a leak develop during use, what does everyone else think....

Re: Alfasud on Wheeler Dealers soon
Did anyone see that other classic car program on channel 5 last night? I almost turned it off after 10 minutes as it seemed to be aimed at a load of toffs in London but it improved a bit as it went on, I still don't think it will venture north of the Watford gap though into 'bandit country' and I ca...

Re: Alfasud on Wheeler Dealers soon
Yes agreed, this should be very interesting :) A lot of these programs are a joke to be honest aren't they, those of us who do this type of work all know how many hours it takes on the bodywork on these cars given the construction methods and the lack of panels etc. Like its already been said all pr...

If you are looking for the original style alloy plates with the raised plastic letters I can recommend 'Framptons' in Sheffield: http://www.pl8s.co.uk/index.html They are very good quality although I found the alloy edges needed a de-burr with some wet n'dry / steel wool & wet scotch to finish t...
